Research focus

Sea4Volt investigates a low-temperature anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyser for direct seawater feeds. The project aims to combine efficient, selective and durable operation under a slight pH gradient.

My role

I am the principal investigator at Gdańsk University of Technology. The university participates in a European consortium developing this approach to hydrogen production.

Funding and duration

The project is funded by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking under Horizon Europe, grant agreement 101192235. It runs from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028.
