  • PhD defence committee of Mr. Keyun Li at AGH University

    I had a pleasure to be one of the reviewers of the doctoral dissertation of Mr. Keyun Li, MSc at Faculty of Energy and Fuels, supervisor prof. Konrad Świerczek.

    The defence took place on 17th October 2024 at AGH University, Faculty of Energy and Fuels at 12.00.

    The PhD thesis “Functional oxygen electrodes for Solid Oxide Cells based on Cu-containing perovskite-type oxides” presents a great overview and development of oxygen electrode materials based on or containing copper.

    I very much enjoyed the high quality thesis. Prof. Świerczek’s group has been working on materials physico-chemistry for many years and have developed an impressive array of characterization methods which is a pleasure to follow.

  • Scientific seminar with prof. Tomasz Wejrzanowski’s group

    On Friday, 11th October, we held a scientific seminar of Gdańsk Tech Advanced Materials Center and prof. Tomasz Wejrzanowski’s group from Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology

    The seminar included presentations of PhD students from our groups as well as overview presentations form other departments.

    Through these seminars we seek to expend our network and open new research possibilities.

  • Polish Conference on Hydrogen Energy and Technology

    On Monday and Tuesday, 7-8 October 2024, I took part in the conference in Gdynia, where I had a chance to substitute for Prof. Jacek Gębicki and take part in discussions in two panel discussions: the first one on electrolysis and the second one on the activities of the Hydrogen Technologies Center at Gdańsk Tech.

    I have truly enjoyed the event, the sessions I have attended provided me with new knowledge in a broader context. It often amuses me, that although I am working in the hydrogen technologies for quite some years now, there is still so much to learn at so many levels.

    On Tuesday evening I have attended to “First Fire” event held by Rockfin in Małkowo, where they officially started the GreenBox / HyVentive electrolysis stack. It was a great event with good networking, great company tour, finished with great live performance with real fire.

  • European Fuel Cell Forum conference

    Together with PhD student Omid Ekhlasiosgouei, in the beginning of July we have attended the SOFC/SOEC related conference in Lucerne, Switzerland.
